How offline mode works
Browse, search and edit your collection on your phone with no connection.
Record stores have basements, and basements have no signal. On your phone, Vinyl Crate Space keeps working down there.
Your collection lives on your device, so with no connection you can still:
- Browse, search and filter what you already own
- Edit records, change a rating, add a note or fix a detail
- Add a record by Manual Entry
There’s nothing to switch on first. While you’re offline, a small record dot appears in the bottom bar, tap it to see how many changes are waiting to sync. They go through on their own once you’re back online. See What syncs when you come back online.
The one thing that still needs signal is adding a record by photo, since Cover Recognition identifies the cover on the server. Offline mode is a phone feature too, on iPhone and Android; on the web you’ll need a connection.
