What syncs when you come back online
Edits you make offline are held on your phone, then sync through on their own when you reconnect.
Anything you change offline, ratings, favourites, notes, record details, even records you add by Manual Entry, is held safely on your phone until you reconnect, then syncs on its own. You don’t need to do a thing.
While you’re offline, a small record dot appears in the bottom bar, tap it to see how many changes are waiting. Once you’re back online it shows Syncing… for a moment while they go through, then clears itself.
On a Duet or Band collection, your updates flow to everyone else on reconnect, and theirs to you.
If the same record gets changed in two places while you’re apart, the version already on the server is the one that’s kept, and your offline edit for that record is dropped rather than written over the top of it. The app tells you when that happens: the record dot shows how many changes couldn’t sync, so you can open the record and make the change again against what’s there now. It’s rare, and it only applies to a record’s details. Your ratings, favourites, notes and listens are your own, so they never collide with anyone else’s.
Remember that adding a record by photo still needs a connection, its cover is identified by Cover Recognition on the server, though you can always add one by Manual Entry offline. If something looks out of date just after reconnecting, give it a moment to finish syncing, and if it still looks off, see My records aren’t syncing across devices.
