Tips for a clear photo
A few seconds of care with the photo saves a retry.
Good matches start with a clear shot, and a few small things make all the difference.
Use decent light, daylight or a bright room, and avoid harsh glare on the cover. Hold the camera square to the cover so the artwork isn’t skewed. Fill the frame with the cover and keep it in focus.
Photograph the front of the cover, that’s what the app reads. It can’t identify a photo of the record itself, and while it can sometimes recognise the back of the cover, the front gives the surest match. Plastic outer sleeves are the most common culprit for failed matches, so angle the cover until the reflection moves off the artwork.
